1st Trimester

Anyone else in 4 weeks that can smell everything?

I just realized that this week that my urine smells so strong, and was worried, but then i researched and i think its just my nose! And at work i was smelling peoples lunch from rooms away, lotion thats supposed to be unscented... little things like that. Also experiencing slight abdominal twinges and occasional bloating, super thirsty, frequent urination, and breasts starting to get sensitive...Its getting exciting that i finally feel like something is changing! How does everyone else feel!?

  • When I was really early my sense of smell was on hyperdrive. It's normal.

However, I could never smell my urine. Are you sure you're drinking enough water?

  • I can smell EVERYTHING. I went into Bed Beth and Beyond yesterday and the Yankee candles about killed me! I think another reason you can smell your urine is that the smell is probably different. I know since getting pregnant that all my body smells are different.

  • I noticed my strong urine scent too around four weeks. I drink a lot of water, so I don't think it's that. It's just that my scent is stronger. I smell everything. I'm a vegetarian and the smell of meat makes me more sick now. My breast also started to be super sensitive, frequent urination and cramps. Now that I'm almost in w6 cramps come and go as they please, and I started feeling nauseated constantly, and bloated.

  • I'm with you, that's one of the reasons I even bothered to take a test early. I smell everything so strongly. I am trying to be careful not to mention it at all so that people don't ask me since then all know I was trying, too early to tell people yet.
  • OMG yes....my 4th and 5th week it was like I had freakin super powers...THAT SUCKED! lol Its died down some, but I can still smell stuff that I normally wouldnt. A few days ago I was making tacos and my man was laughing at me cuz I was smelling the lettuce. I couldnt help it Big Smile

  • I call that Super Smell....it's my own personal super power.  I can smell everything!  It really helps the nauseousness and food aversions :)  Last time it lasted through my entire pregnancy so it probably will this time too.
