You are a LAMEASS if.....

You buy expensive clothing for your kid to "just take his/her picture in it" and return it or try to re sell it.

I get ....buying something expensive and your kid and wearing it once because he/she has so much other _shit..fine.. understandable.....

buying something because it is the "it thing" ....getting photos taken with the tags still on but hidden.. then reselling/returning.. you are LAME.. and seriously need some mental help!

this goes out to the skank at the boutique today that said aloud.." eh I will just get her picture taken in it and return it later" ... the LAST dress. The dress I spent 45 minutes in my car driving to get for my niece who would wear it more then "for photos". It is the principle... and she clearly had none.

Re: You are a LAMEASS if.....

  • Agreed.

I buy stuff all the time just for photo ops but I don't return it when I am done. ??

  • I think she's smart actually.  What toddler/child needs expensive clothes for everyday purposes?

why buy it period? If it was to expensive... then don't buy it unless you like paying the price.

it is pretty trashy to buy something doll your kid up in it....take photos and then return it.

shopgirl.. completely understand. josey said the same thing. I buy/make things specifically for photos... but I don't return them.

  • I think it's totally lameass.  For me, I like my pictures to look how my son looks.

Most days, he's dressed in cute "normal" clothes from normal kid's stores, but I can't even imagine buying something that a) wasn't appropriate for his lifestyle just to get a picture, or b) WANTING pics of him in clothes that aren't his "style."

  • I totally agree with you!  I am 100% guilty of spending good $ on picture outfits.  But, I would NEVER EVER think to return them when I am done.  I shudder to think what else these kinds of people try to pull!  Besides, I just think it screams 'poser' to put your kids in something you can't afford to keep.
  • Pretty sneaky and lame to me.  Don't pretend to be something you're not and I like pics that look real, not too perfect.  One day her kid might just yack all over the cute dress or outfit, then what ya gonna do!

Which would be fine if you were in a kids clothes RENTAL store...

That is just wrong.  I like more casual everyday stuff for photos.  But I would never think of returning something my DC has already worn unless there was a major defect on it.

Its not smart, its trashy and completely unethical. If you want to purchase an expensive outfit for a one time photo op, fine, but don't leave the tags on and return it. Returns are for good reasons, like it didn't fit right, or even that you just didn't like it when you got home. You return things that are NEW and UNWORN. If I bought a formal gown, wore it with the tags on and returned it, everyone would call me trashy.

I honestly cannot believe people do this.

  • super lame.  I would never return something she had worn period.

And I like to get A LOT of use out of DD's clothes...especially if they were expensive.

  • UnBELIEVABLE.

    People are so fricking lame.

And I'm glad I'm not lame... because Jackson does have stuff he only wears a few times.  :)  But i don't return it.  LOL.

LOLtastic at it being smart, though.  tee hee.

Yeah MIL and I would be lame if I hadn't added that clause! I do not get it. I see it happening more and more.. and today just kind of pissed me off.

People wonder why places have eliminated their return policies. Well here you go folks... because people buy _shit all the time and return it knowing full well when they buy it they will return it...

I worked in retail for years.... so I am not just imagining it!
