yes. Just got on the scale this morning after avoiding it all week - 4 pounds from my "goal weight" at baby delivery time.... I have at least 15 more weeks to go.... Jesus take the wheel!- or at least the fried deliciousness from my hand...
Me too! Not trying to be stupid about it. But I had bad contractions that were possibly triggered from physical activity, which means I'm not risking ANYTHING by working out or exerting myself. And frankly I just enjoy food right now - don't have my other vices (coffee, alcohol, etc) - and so I don't want to gain much more weight than normal... but for me, I've learned it's better to be uber weight conscious once the baby is here, not before.
My midwife says, don't worry about it. So, I don't worry about it.
It's my weight to lose, and I know that. It's not going to hurt my baby if I put on an extra 15lbs. It is going to hurt my baby if I stress on those extra 15 before s/he gets here, though.
During my 1st pregnancy i stopped looking at the scale around week 24 due to almost passing out when i saw my weight gain. So at that moment i decided to not watch the scale and told the nurse i didnt want to know. Figuring if a red flag went up my doctor would tell me. Well she never said anything and i had a healthy baby boy. And over the next year lost all the weight i gained and weighed lower when i got pregnant with #2.
Realize people are completely tactless when it comes to a pregnant woman and her weight gain. ESPECIALLY our elders who wil swear up and down they barely gained ANY weight when they were pregnant.
Just stay healthy dont eat for 2 and enjoy being pregnant

I am not worried, I eat when I am hungry & what I want. Gain 50lbs with baby#1, lost it all & went back to my regular weight. I will leave the worries to others, like bumpies on this post stated, it my weight to lose. Doc will let me know if I need to slow down or not.
Re: Hello, my name is Ateal and I am ignoring my weight.

I have ignored my weight since day 1 and have eaten whatever sounds good to me at the time.
Same here. I almost fell off the scale when the nurse told me I hadn't gained a pound yet. Coulda fooled me!!
