PAP: We might be moving, or not. I am waiting for an email back from the agent in charge of our house to see what she says about a new lease agreement or a cash for keys offer. I have been on the lookout for another rental house, a 3 bedroom so we can expand our age range for foster and fost-adopt.
TTA: I ammended our foster care license to include baby girls, we don't want to shut ourselves down to possible situations.
ATP: We are 2 weeks and 2 days away from finalizing Iz's adoption! We need to book our hotel room (but need confirmation from the CW for the nights they've already booked first).
Everything with the girls is status quo, nothing new going on.
QOTD: I almost always bake something, pies, cookies, cakes, rolls. I also like to make the green bean casserole.
ATP: Gwen got her first ear infection. Not a milestone I was looking forward to meeting. Boo. She's all thrown off from it... hopefully a few more nights of good sleep will get her back on track.
You know, just in time to be thrown off again by daylight savings time this Sunday. ::sigh::
QOTD: It depends on if we're hosting or not. My mom always takes the lead, but we split duties differently every year. This year we're all meeting at my Gram's (not sure if this will be her last Thanksgiving or not...), so I'll probably just bring a side.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
ATP - The kids get Good Day Sticks at school for good behavior. Gray has 18 of them - with the last 7 in a row and Carter has 10 - but has gotten it both days this week. It is so hard for him to sit still. Grayson has been so polite/respectful/kind this weekend/week. Carter was pretty darn sassy this week and almost lost trick-or-treating privileges on Monday. But in general things are pretty status quo and we are looking forward to a sunny weekend!
QOTD: Eating it. L loves to cook/bake and is much better at it than I am. I would like to like cooking, but when I try to, I get frustrated and/or bored quickly. So I am relegated to grilling and easy meals.
At Thanksgiving, I basically do nothing - it's a huge family affair (Jen's family) and all jobs were assigned long before I came along. Sometimes I make one dish, like macaroni and cheese, or I make something that Jen is really in the mood for.
At Christmas, it varies from year to year, but I usually have a pretty big part of the meal planning and cooking. The year we were in NYC at my brother's apartment, he and I did the whole thing soup to nuts, and it was really fun but I was exhausted afterward. Usually we're in Oregon with my parents, and my dad smokes all the meat (turkey, ham, fish, sometimes duck) and my mom and brother do most of the sides while I cook a few things and play sous chef.
ATP: Ky has been really into sitting on her potty and everytime she is a bit wet or she poops she finds a diaper and brings it to us grabbing herself. SO last night when we went up to get ready for bed I took her diaper off and let her sit on the potty...well she went like a lot! I thought okay fluke but we will take it. I called DW up and we all gave high fives and clapped and made a big deal. So this morning I get up earlier than normal and I put her on the potty when I took her diaper off and she sat there a few minutes and then peed again! So I gave her high fives and clapped and the whole nine yards. So we have decided while not pushing the potty issue (since she is still young) we are going to sit her on it everytime we change her diaper for a few minutes nad see where it goes. The novelty may wear off in a few weeks but for now it is nice.
15 month check up is tomorrow! I cannot wait to see how big she has gotten!
TTC: Clomid day 1, I called the OB and they advised me to take my opks earlier in my cycle since the Clomid should cause ovulation around day 14/15 which in turn should cause my cycle length to shorten. Anyone that took Clomid that had a longer cycle before have this happen? Just curious!
QOTD: I am required to bring nothing since we always have all holiday meals somewhere else but I usually try to bring a dessert or something. I am hoping next year to be able to host Thanksgiving for my side!
Well after the bleeding scare the other day Jay and I are still really nervous but trying to take everything one day at a time. I had an appointment yesterday and my betas have gone up from 1000 on Sunday to 2146. Next Wednesday at 6 weeks we will have betas drawn and another ultrasound, I'm really hoping we get good news.
QOTD: I usually end up being the cook or helping even when we have holiday dinners at my sister's or bff's house. When we do dinners at our house I'm the only one that cooks.

This week has been rough and we arent estimated to get power back until sunday night so it will continue to be. The girls are sleeping horribly and RB keeps waking in the middle of the night freaking out b/c she doesnt know where she is. DW has been going crazy trying to manage them all during the day while i'm at work with no power and only a few toys/books. And of course they are all so over not being at home and off schedule and have been wild. The girls' daycare opened today and had room for Sprout (his school is closed until Monday, if not longer) so we dropped them all off this morning with profuse apologies to the teachers in anticipation of their crazy behavior today. ::sigh:: i really want to go home.
QOTD: I do 100% of Christmas and typically do all of thanksgiving as well, but this year things are all thrown off.
Things are status quo around our house though we are still recovering from a late Halloween night. This morning was a bit teary and slow going. E now has homework and reading to do most every night. The nights go quick and she's still adjusting to not having much free time between those things and dinner/bath/bed. I hope we can turn the corner on that soon.
QOTD: if I'm hosting dinner, I do most of the cooking. If I'm not I'm usually asked to bring rolls at a minimum, maybe stuffing. At Christmas I am always the baker. My soft sugar cookies are the best. It's the only artistic talent you'll see out of this sciency girl. I get my frosting on and go all out. It's a lot of work but very fun and I like seeing everyone enjoy them.
After all we went through to get me to ovulate we f-ing missed it. Angry/upset/depressed/you name it. I know I need to just be positive and consider it fate and move on, but it's really hard. I'm so scared it won't happen or that my insurance will start refusing to pay or or or.
QOTD: When we're with DW's family her mom takes care of things, when we're with my family my mom and BIL fight it out for who gets to cook. It's easier to save our cooking/baking talent for ourselves. I think even though we're married grown ups our families still think of us as the kids. Our apartment is too small to think of hosting, and neither of our families likes NYC all that much.

No updates other than my AW a couple of days ago. Mostly just feeling sick and tired and tired and sick.
AOTD: I usually do a lot of cooking - almost all of it if we are hosting and a good chunk even if we aren't. This year, I think I'm going to delegate that responsibility to someone else! My ILs are coming to our house for Thanksgiving and have already offered to do the bulk of the meal prep, and I am only too happy to accept. Right now, the couch is my BFF. I am the head elf (read: gift brainstormer and purchaser) in our house too, and I'm thinking online shopping is looking better and better this year. LOL!
PCP: We made the decision to take a trip to somewhere in Asia while we are both between jobs, because we figured it would be the last chance before TTC. We are debating between Thailand and India.
C has done a great job of following up on the medical stuff she needs to take care of before TTC. I am very proud of her. Other than that, we're kinda sorta reading the Stephanie Brill lesbian conception/pregnancy book, and thinking about donor stuff. I'm in favor of a WTB donor from a bank, and C is in favor of a known donor. I am becoming more comfortable with a known donor, but I would like some reassurance from C that she'd consider an unknown donor if circumstances changed.
Same sex couple TTC with donor sperm. I am 35 and carrying. Endometriosis and DOR. AMH 0.5, AFC 5-8, FSH 7ish
PCP: We're still hoping for an early-ish 2012 (re-)start date, tbd by my potential internship in January. If I go, I'll be back in Feb, and then we'd most likely start in March-April. I've lost a bit of weight over the last 2-3 months, so I need to get my thyroid checked and make sure it's in range and stable for a bit. I also want to get back on my TCM herbs for at least three cycles before ttc, so I should start that with my next cd1.
QOTD: This depends on the year and the location. Usually I help cook, or do most of the cooking. This year, Thanksgiving is at my aunt and uncles but I think C and I are doing something small on our own due to my diet and some family drama. I'll be at a 10-day meditation course over Christmas, so we're basically opting out of the holidays this year. Next year we hope to host Thanksgiving again.
