Re: book recs

  • I just finished 'Belly Laughs'. It's funny and a quick read.

  • I've read "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" with both of my other pregnancies. It's fun because there is a little something to read each week.

  • My best friend loaned me Pushed: The Painful Truth about Childbirth and Modern Maternity Care by Jennifer Block. I highly recommend this book!

I ordered the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy yesterday because I've had several recommendations for that book. I cannot wait for it to come in the mail. :)

    Mommy to N (3), J (2), and C (10 months). LO4 is due in mid-September.

I got the Mayo Clinic Guide too.  I find it's a good handbook.  I loved the chart about when you should and when you shouldn't be worried about spotting.

I want to read some others, but I'm afraid they will freak me out more than assure me.  Any suggestions?

  • I also recommend Belly Laughs.  I liked What To Expect When You Are Expecting when I was pregnant with my first.  During the 3rd trimester, I also read Happiest Baby on the Block and Baby Wise to prepare for the arrival.   That was 4 years ago. I need to get them all back out and read them again!!
    Caroline arrived 6/17/2012
    Courtney arrived 9/16/07
