So I just watched a Nat Geo documentary on "The Womb" and then read a whole bunch of birth stories and it got me thinking....
This whole time I have been dead set on a RCS because my last one was SO easy. I had an induction due to pre-e and then maxed out on Pit for 48 hours with two rounds of cervadil and 0, none, nada for progress. My C-section was a dream.
Now this time, suddenly, I am unsure.
Re: Anyone considering VBAC? Why?
Your induction story was my induction story exactly due to pre-e... I could have written that.
I want a VBAC becasue I was only 34 weeks along at the time my daughter was born and to this day I still feel like she was taken from me...
She was in the NICU for 16 days because she was 3 lbs and could not eat...
I want the birth back that I planned to have in the first place...
If I cannot then c-section is fine but it really had an impact on me...
Yep!
There is a whole board about VBACs in the listing to the left.

Proud mother of two breech babies:)
My csection recovery was easy peasy but the surgery itself was horrid. I hemorrhaged on the table due to a placenta acreta and I was so scared and cold and knew something was wrong but not what. I also didn't get to see my DD for the first 12 hours as she was in NICU and couldn't leave it.
We plan to have another pregnancy after this one and I really, really don't want 3 surgeries. I will have a csection planned for 41 weeks but if labor comes naturally I will happily have a VBAC with my OBs blessing.
Yeah. I read on the board some last night. However, obviously, that board is very pro-VBAC and I was looking for some varying opinions and reasoning.
Thank you all for all your responses. I have PCOS and a higher risk of Pre-E and GD because of it. So, I might discuss the possibility of a VBAC. I think I will talk it over with my doctor and see what the calculated risk is for me and my child. Either way, a healthy baby in the end is my goal.
Thanks again!
