DD has 16 teeth. She usually has no problem chewing and chomping, but she has trouble with meat. I tried giving her grilled chicken breast last night, cut into small pieces. She'll chew it for a while, then bleh! Dump it out on her bib or plate. Chicken nuggets, burgers, meatloaf...no problem. Actual pieces of meat? No way.
Anyone else's LO this way? If your LO mastered meat, how long did it take/how old were they? TIA!
Re: Can't chew meat?
I don't think it's a matter of not being able to chew it-but they have to chew for so long they get tired of it (and does it lose it's flavor after chewing it so much? I'm a veg so I have no clue).
When I used to watch my niece I asked her why she always spit her meat out (she was about 2 years old) and she told me, "because I have to chew, and chew, and chew"
