Re: gift ideas
Warner is and has been super into puzzles for a long while. Shortly after he turned two, someone gave us an actual jigsaw puzzle (like this https://www.melissaanddoug.com/playful-pets-learning-jigsaw-puzzle) and he's been hooked on them ever since.
We have a couple of these (https://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Dinosaur-Puzzles/dp/B000REP3CO) where 4 puzzle come in the box and he can put the puzzle together on top of the box. It's a fairly small box so it's good to take to restaurants or on road trips.
DS plays with this: Fisher Price Wheelies Play N Go Construction Site every.single.day. On the Fisher Price website, I see they now have something similar that is a Batcave for Little People Batman and Robin. I can tell you right now that DS would absolutely LOVE this!
He also has a firehouse that I can?t find on the FP website, but its layout is similar to this. He also loves to play with his cousins spinning speedway. Although it is for six months and up, kids of all ages flock to this toy. Flashlights like these are always a hit.
Never knew how much he (and DD) would love this big wheel too.
I recently got a play-doh set with cookie cutter shapes and a contraption where you push the play-doh through using different templates so it will make different long strings of shapes. DD LOVES the play-doh and it's actually something that she will play with for an extended period of time. It's also somewhat fun for me. We also bring her kitchen set in near us and she pretends to cook the items we make with the play-doh. If you go on Amazon, and search for "Play-doh sets" you'll see a lot of options.
One gift idea I'll be giving to my mom for DD is arts and craft supplies. There are tons of ideas of crafts to do on Pinterest but you really need a stash of craft supplies to make them. So I'll put things like this on my list: construction paper, fuzz balls, pipe cleaners, finger paints, brushes and paint sets, googlie eyes, feathers, glue, beads, sequins, etc.
