Upstate NY Babies

kids really do make life better :)

Ethan had a blast TOTing tonight.  I haven't enjoyed Halloween this much in years.  He loved it and would ask for a piece of candy for baby soph . then he would say "next house".  I can't wait for next year.  We will have to go to more than just our street

  • We had a blast too...it took 1 house for R to "get it". He was asking for the next house and more candy before we left the last house's driveway! We were out for about an hour and headed in to hand out candy.

One of our neighbors won a contest and got to TOT with Rochester RedWings mascots. It was pretty cool to have them come to the door! The kids came first and then the mascots posed with R for their PR guy to take photos! lol I wish I had my camera handy, but I didn't.

That is sweet he was looking out for baby sister! =)

  • Abby had a blast too.  It took the first house for her to get it.  After that she was walking from door to door saying more candy and knock knock as we walked up since we told her to knock on the doors.  We had to bribe her to stop once it started raining.

  • I love this post:) It's so true. B didn't really get the entire T or Ting thing, but we waited soooo long to dress our child up for halloween it was just a great night. That's so sweet that Ethan was asking for candy for his baby sister. How sweet.

  • Claire was so much fun this year that it makes me a million times more excited for Christmas.   We went out with one of her friends from daycare and then met up with ASP so she got to see her two best friends.  So much fun!

  • DD had fun too! We did about 15 houses and she said "trick or treat", "happy halloween" and "thank you" to each and every house! When we'd leave a house she'd say "more houses-how about that one?" I thought we'd be out forever but my ILs stopped by to see her so as soon as she saw them she wanted to go home! And I had to laugh that at one house they let her pick her "treat" and she chose raisins (over a bunch of candy bars)!
  • Ian had lots of fun, too. It was the first year where he really got it. I actually think he had more fun giving out candy after we got home than actually getting it!
  • Eve had fun too.. And she was actually nice to people, since they were giving her candy.
She went out twice, once with me and once with DH. She was out basically the full 2 hours.

Seriously though guys, my neighborhood is awesome to TorT in.. We used our full 700 pieces of candy by 8pm. If you guys ever wanna come out and we can take turns going out with the kiddos.. I'd totally be all for that.

  • Aww Ethan is so cute :)

My boys had a blast. Paul can't say "Trick or Treat" but he started saying "Pweeeees!" (please) at every door & got so excited to put candy in his pumpkin. Charlie was also REALLY into it & so cute because he kept shouting- "Look! I got a ____! These are great!"
