What do you guys think about this at home test that supposedly measures FSH levels?  I got a free stick in my pack of 3 HPTs.  I didn't even know this test existed.  I took it today CD3 and the results were hard to figure out.  Your levels are supposedly normal if your line is non-existent or lighter than the other line. If your line is darker or similar to the other line than your levels are too high. My line was definitely thinner  - but the box said thickness does not matter - but I couldn't tell if it was lighter. It did look pretty similar in color to the test line.  So of course now I'm nervous.  Does anyone have experience w/ this test or asked a doctor about it?  Should I be concerned?

    My RE said they are BS.  Just another way to make people piss $$ down the drain.

    I also cannot help but think why they would put them in with other tests.  It is not like you would keep doing that test, right?  I wonder if they just aren't selling by themselves?  Or if they think "word of mouth" will eventually help?  Huh.  I think they know it is crap. 

    Good to hear.  I wish I never took it.

    I gotta agree with the other posters.  My friend gave one to me after she got her BFP, I thought it was an ovulation test kit (had no directions and I've never used them before - this is cycle 1). 

    I was out of town and took it before I read the directions when I got home.  You are supposed to take it on CD3, I was on CD14 and it still showed a "normal" result.  Seems like crap to me!

    TTC since August 2011 (Me-29, DH-32).
    4/28/2012 - SA: 5% motility.
    5/21/2012 - SA: same results.
    Only shot is IVF (ICSI)
    5/31/2012 - HSG: all clear
    6/22/2012 - appt with RE, confirmed ICSI is necessary.
    8/3/2012 - First IVF Monitoring Appointment
    8/17/2012 - Egg Retrieval (retrieved 23 eggs, 3 made it to freezer)
    8/18/2012 - OHSS - hospitalized, need to wait one cycle to transfer embryo(s) due to OHSS
    8/29/2012 - begin meds for frozen cycle
    10/12/2012 - FET one embryo
    10/24/2012 - Beta #1: 442
    10/26/2012 - Beta #2: 947
    10/29/2012 - Beta #3: 2900!
    11/15/2012 - first u/s: baby measuring perfect, heart rate is right on target
    2/6/2013 - A/S looked perfect. Still team green by choice!
    7/6/2013 - Baby girl born after 44 hours of un-medicated labor, 2 hours of pushing, and emergency c-section due to transverse head.  DD was perfectly healthy at 6 pounds, 14 ounces.  We are thrilled!!

    Waste of money and time, and mostly cause for unnecessary worry. The test measures FSH, which is one small factor in determining fertility. When a Dr. tests your FSH, they are measuring the levels and comparing them with other factors including age, AMH, AFC, E2, etc. This is the only way to get a clear picture. Doing an at home FSH test is like testing yourself for a blood disorder with a sewing needle and a magnifying glass.
