BTDT moms - Daylight Savings Time...

So the time change is coming up and I am DREADING it. Like it gives me anxiety just thinking about it. As some of you know, sleep is a major issue around here (both A's refusal to do it consistently and my instability when I'm sleep deprived), and her being up an hour earlier each day is going to make my life a lot more difficult. She's also much crabbier and more likely to wake up early if we keep her up late, so that part is going to be a ***, too. Any moms who've already been there have any good suggestions, or at least some hope? How long did it take your kids to adjust?

Re: BTDT moms - Daylight Savings Time...

  • This is my first baby but since no one has replied to you I thought I'd share that I am hoping that the fact the days are getting shorter and shorter will help. Eventhough DS will be an hour "off" I am hoping the darkness will cue him to sleep later. We've been going back and forth between STTN and waking for a night feeding but it seems like the fact it is dark in the mornings is helping him sleep later than ever (like 7-7:30am) unless it is a junk night to begin with. I think we are just going to try to keep him up a little later each night depending upon how he is doing and go to bed early ourselves until he adjusts.
