529 VEST Promo Code

My DH was setting up a VEST 529 account and guessed a promo code that waives the $25 application fee.

 It turned out to be pretty simple: VIRGINIA

 

We like the VEST plan over the other VA 529s because of very low fees means more money to grow and the out of state (out of country!) flexibility it gives over the pre-paid plan. 

The 'age based' option (where DS college investments get less risky as he gets older) means we don't have to tend too much to the account or pay someone else to keep an eye on it.
