Just found out my brother and sis-in-law have gotten my DD an iPad for Christmas. I was wondering if anyone had any rec's on good learning apps? Especially when it comes to pre-reading and numbers....

Ds loves SpellingMagic. The moveable alphabet portion of the app is perfect for him.
For fun apps, he likes Cut The Rope and Angry Birds (and in reality, those do help work on fine motor skills and problem solving just like any game). He also likes to just open up Notes and type in different family member's names as you tell him how they are spelled. He watches YouTube videos.
I HIGHLY recommend getting an Otterbox Defender case for any iPad that will be used by a toddler. It has saved mine countless times.

My DD loves anything from Toca Boca, Lakeshore learning, Angelina....there are too many to name!! Like Moms with apps on Facebook, they review a ton of apps and even have promo codes.
