Shower "thank-you" gifts

So I don't know if it's just been preggo brain or what, but I completely forgot about a "thank-you" gift for my MIL who is hosting my shower next Wednesday. 

Since she's grandma, I don't really know what to give her because I am already carrying her first grand-baby, isn't that gift enough?! (Just Kidding!)

But in all seriousness, I could really use some cute, simple, and budget-friendly gift ideas! And as for future reference, what is proper to give a baby shower host as a gift? I've never done this before (obviously!) so I'm a little confused on it all. 

***Side-note about my MIL, she really is a great woman who constantly is giving to others and I really want to give a meaningful gift, I'm just really bad at gift-giving! My poor husband gets things that he needs, but hardly ever wants most of the time. I don't want to do the same to her.***

    I'm giving my hostesses each a bottle of wine. 

    Our mom's also helped with the shower.(but weren't official hostesses) We're giving them Shutterfly gift cards so they can order prints/photo books/etc after the baby arrives.

    A meaningful children's book about grandmother's with a nice note inside/flowers?  She can read the book with the baby when they are older.  Or, start a locket for her if that's her thing on which she can put charms for her grandbabies?  A brag book for her purse (mini photo album) and some fancy wine/chocolate?

    Did the same thing, but with a Christmas candle and Gingerbread cookie holder.

    I gave my mom (hostess), MIL, and my great-grandmother picture gift-wrapped frames at my shower.  BRU has a really sweet one that said something like, "When a baby is born, so is a grandmother."  Made us tear up!

    I got my mom a new camera so she can take lots of pictures.  I got my sister a set of interchangeable Pandora earrings.  And a girlfriend threw me a shower with some local friends so I got her a Pandora charm for her bracelet.  I didn't want to get gifts that would be 'consumed'.....tried to get gifts that would last so they always remember how special they are to me.

    My shower is tomorrow, and I've been stuck on what to get my MIL and two close friends who are hosting. 

    I think the Shutterfly gift card is genius for my MIL!

    I ordered a nice bouquet of fall flowers in a beautiful vase.  She never gets flowers, so I thought it was a nice idea.  My shower is in 2 weeks :)
    TTC since June/09.
    1st cycle diagnosed with slight hypothyroidism. Clomid, dexamethasone, HCG trigger shot. BFN
    2nd cycle, Clomid, dexamethasone, HCG trigger shot. BFN
    3rd cycle, Clomid, dexamethasone, ovulated with out tigger. BFN
    4th cycle, Clomid, dexamethasone, HCG trigger shot. BFP!!!
    EDD 12/31/2011 ----- actual birthday 01/05/2012

    I gave my mom (who assisted with the shower) a scrabble pendant from Etsy.  It is a real scrabble letter that has been painted and says Grandma (or Nana or Mimi, etc) on it.     I ordered from GoldenImpressions and it came with a chain and a neat little painted metal box for storage. All for $5.75.

    My two friends who hoste my shower have everything thy need, so I bought them nice holiday gift baskets that U am giving them today. One is Starbucks and the other is Godiva chocolates. I know they will use them and since they aren't related to the baby, I didn't think a keepsake would be practical for them. I love the ideas for MIL and moms though. We're planning on putting onesies with family's presents that say "Grandpa's girl" and "Grandma loves me" since I think it is a nice, practical way of including the baby in their holiday gifts.
