Question from PGALer (breast pumps)

Do any of you have the Lasinoh double electric pump-- affinity? Do you like it? It is on sale at BRU and it so much cheaper than the Medela PIS but I was wondering if I should just splurge and go for the medela. Or do any of you have another pump to suggest? TIA :)

Re: Question from PGALer (breast pumps)

  • I used the Lansinoh Double Electric (different version) 3 years ago with DD1. I didn't like it because the suction wasn't strong enough, so I got the Medela PISA this time around and like it much better.

  • I have the Medela Freestyle and I love it.  I bought it from Burlington Coat Factory.  They have the PIS for $250 and the Freestyles for $300.  Also I was able to use a coupon for 20% off a single item when I gave them my e-mail address - I'm not sure if this special is still running.

As of a month ago this was still going on. My PISA was $202 or so with the coupon.

  • I have it and like it. It gets good reviews in most places. I don't have anything to compare it to but it seems to get the job done quite well for me. I don't have the suction turned all the way up most of the time and can get 2-4 ounces from each boob within 10 minutes. I wasn't willing to spend the bigger bucks because I wasn't sure if BF would work for us. I used a coupon at BRU for the Affinity.

  • I have the Avent duo electric pump and I like it. It works well, is easy to clean (it is a closed system), and is pretty fast. It is about 100 bucks cheaper than the Medela.

  • I had an Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump with Carryall and I love it. Never had a problem when I was pregnant and pumping. It isn't very high in price nor cheap.
