The only Halloween movie I ever watch is Hocus Pocus. I'm a big fat baby and I HATE scary movies, but I will watch Hocus Pocus year round. I love that movie!

I made my friend turn off Scream 2 in 8th grade after the opening sequence. I was such a freakin' pvssy, but it just scared the shiit out of me.
I was not spoiled about the opening sequence of the original Scream when I saw it. The moment they killed off Drew Barrymore*, I knew I was going to love that movie.
*If anyone thinks this is a spoiler, they need to get out more considering that movie is 17 years old.

great question! we usually do Hocus Pocus as well but this year DH wants me to get some guts and watch a scary one with him. I said I'd try the Shining (is it bad?)...I could see us doing Scream as well or whatever is available on Netflix.
my taste...Exorcist = freaky/disturbing, Carrie = scary but somewhat funny. haven't seen too many other scary movies but I do love the Scream ones.
Asher Thomas 5.19.10
Miles Edmund 12.29.11
Liam Robert 1.21.14
Baby 4...ok probably another boy here haha 9.20.15
Holy crap, I hate The Shining. Not because it's scary or anything but because the kid annoys the hell out of me.
If I was going for some serious scary Stephen King stuff, I would pick The Stand.

I am a baby, no thanks. I already heard sounds coming from my porch this morning and I thought someone was going to come in and murder me. I don't need scary movies putting more thoughts in my head! My poor DH, he loves scary movies and I never will watch them with him.

I confess I love Drew. Have you seen Trick R' Treat yet?? Huh? Huh? Have you?
I love her, too, but the fact they killed off the only "name" actor in that movie (at the time) was amazing.
I have not! I don't watch many scary movies. Just the funny-scary movies, like Scream.

I am watching "It" this week in 1-hour increments and forgot my great love for this tv movie. Awesomeness.
I still have nightmares about Pennywise at least once a month, and I haven't watched this movie in over 10 years... I can't even see a picture of him without losing my sh!t.
I'm a huge wuss so I probably won't be watching any, but then again if one is on TV that I've already seen I'm sure I'll flip back and forth to it, switching the channel whenever I know a gross or super-scary part is coming up.
One thing I really miss about not having cable is missing the VH1 (or is it Bravo?) show about the 100 scariest horror movie moments in history.
I love that show and I used to watch it every year.
And "Audition", man. That shits is off the hook scary.

Practical Magic. I love me some pre-face-freeze Nicole Kidman. Also, Netflix has The Stand, which I haven't watched. I love Stephen King so that'll probably make the list.
If I can find it, Something Wicked This Way Comes. I haven't seen it in ages.
It is really really obscure. I saw it years and years ago and then found it again on Netflix streaming a couple of years back.
It's a rock/horror version of Phantom of the Opera. It is cheesy and kooky and wonderful.

Me and you likethis. I already watched Hocus Pocus and Corpse Bride. Now I'm watching Halloweentown 1 & 2. I'm a pusssy. I will get Nightmare Before Christmas in there somewhere.
Yes! I was waiting for someone else to mention them, pretty sure I already recorded and watched all 4. Hocus Pocus is also a given. Clearly I have no tolerance for real horror, I always get way too spooked.

"How ya doin', B-b-b-b-Billy boy?!"
"Yes... they all float down here... and when you're down here with me, YOU'LL. FLOAT. TOO!!!!!" Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!
Have you read the book "It" too? I must say that it is even 10x more effed-up than the movie... I don't know why I did that to myself.

Ok, I'm on board with Hocus Pocus but has anyone ever seen Monster Squad?!
That's my all time fav!!!

I'm a wuss and don't like scary movies.
Which is a pain because my DH's runs an annual horror movie film festival so it's been all scary movies, all the time at my house for many weeks.

It captures all that I love about Halloween and scary movies in one enjoyable film.

Ever.
