Is it tacky to register at more than one place? We didn't find furniture that we love at the store where we did most of our registering so we found it at another store. Now I am finding things I love at other places and am thinking of doing an additional registry but do you think that's kind of tacky? Does anybody else have more then one registry? And are you putting furniture on it?

Re: Registering at more than 1 place?
I have two. Mainly because there were certain things I wanted from BRU, but there were a lot of things that were just cheaper at walmart for the same brand.
I think any more than two is in excess, especially if you're just copy-pasting items.
We do have furniture on ours - but mainly because my mom wants to buy the crib & we wanted people to see what we were interested in for the nursery. We won't be heartbroken if no one buys furniture, though.

I tend to ignore rules of tacky v. not. . . do what you feel like.
I'm registering @ two for sure. One is a local store (only two in the area) and it's a little pricey. The other is Babies-R-Us. They have more stuff and are all over the place for my family and friends that live all over the US. I'm trying not to duplicate too many items though. Actually if I'm being honest I online registered @ Walmart and Target using a code name as well-- that I don't intend to share w/ others and did for possible coupons and to have price compare list for me to use.
I am/did put big tickets on my registry, but mostly because we'll get money off anything we purchase off the list after my shower is completed. I did make it clear to my mother and a couple of the people though that I did not actually expect anyone to buy me those things.
If you are going to buy the stuff anyway, DEFINITELY create a registry and put it on there. Most places like Target, BRU give you a 10% registry completion coupon to help you buy all the stuff left on your registry. It's totally worth it even if you don't "advertise" to people that you are registered as those places.
Also, it is always nice to have a wide variety of options for people to pick from. Someone might not have a BRU close to them and would prefer to shop at a Target or other location.
This is another reason we did. For me, it's a 45 minute drive to the closest BRU, but walmart is 5 minutes. For others, BRU is right around the corner whereas walmart might be 20 minutes.

I have two registries. I do not have duplicate items on them though. (That seems to be a pain in the butt.)
I don't think it is tacky as I am trying to give my guests an option (maybe they don't like one of the stores) and also trying to make sure that everyone is within close driving distance to at least one of the stores.
I did not put furniture on the list because my parents were generous to purchase it for us. If they would not have I may have registered for the furniture items as my husband's aunts often like to go in together on a large gift.
We registered at 3 stores. I love BRU and wanted a registry there, but we dont' have one locally, so we added 2 local stores for our friends and family.
We did not register for furniture,w e bought it ourselves. We had 2 items over $100 on our registry, our swing at $115 and our breast pump, which I only registered for to use the completion coupon.
i'm registered at 3! lol.
wal-mart, for the practical folks.
BRU because they gave me a ten-dollar gift card for registering there (: none of my family will drive that far anyway,
and the local pharmacy for the last-minute shoppers.
so i have all the bases covered, and i'm not worried about being tacky, everyone coming to my shower already knows my quirks! lol
