Hi ladies--Happy Friday! Here is some quick background:
I don't have regular cycles b/c I have PCOS. I have periods brought on by Provera. Right now I am taking Femara to ovulate, and DH and I are doing timed intercourse. I had a positive OPK on 11/5.
So I have two questions:
Re: Question re: day to test and dpo
ditto kdodge.
The only way to know if you o'd is by charting your temp. Because your cycle is so irregular you should probably wait the 18 dpo.
Okay. The reason why I thought I could depend on the OPK was because I had a sonogram on CD 10 to check my follicles. On CD 10 I had a couple follies at 17 and 18 and a larger one at 22.5 mm. My doctor said that I could use the OPK to make sure I ovulated.
Thanks for your help ladies.
I think it's reasonable to depend on OPKs, as long as you know they're not a guarantee of ovulation. They can be misleading, even if often they're not.
Have you considered charting? I know it's not for everyone but it can be hugely helpful.
