Are you getting glucose test early? I am getting it done tomorrow (16 weeks) and then agian later on.

I had it done last week at 15w2d. I didn't pass the one hour and I begged not to do the 3 hour since I just don't have 5 hours to waste at the hospital (that's how long I spent there when I was pregnant with DS) especially with a toddler. I'm testing my sugars 4 times a day, while eating a normal diet-not the carb restrictions, and I see the OB next week. I wouldn't be surprised if the dx me with it. I can't seem to get my fasting under 90 again.

Yep, I had it done at 16 weeks and am having it done again at 24 weeks because I was 3 points under the line. My OB just had me do the 3hr test and skip the 1hr. I'll do the 3hr again in about 3 weeks.

normal blood glucose readings are between 90 and 110. 90 is on the low end of normal.

Failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour at 15 weeks. Will retest at 24 weeks.

I took it at 9 weeks and passed with flying colors. I will take it again at 28 weeks, unless I feel like I need to take it earlier.

I'm getting tested at 20 weeks, but they did the same thing when I was pregnant before (due to my weight at conception). I just got the lovely drink to take home with me this morning at my 16 week appointment ... oh joy.

Those numbers you quoted were what my numbers should have been 2 hours after meals when I was pregnant with DS. They wanted my fasting under 90, one hour after meals was to be under 140 and two hour under 120. I had to go on insulin since my fasting wasn't under 90. My two and even one hour after meals were well below 105 so I know it was my fasting that caused me to go on insulin. I know what they are going to request. According to WebMD the levels you listed are not normal readings but indicative of pre-diabetes.

Fasting blood glucose:	70-99 milligrams per deciliter (3.9-5.5 mmol/L)
2 hours after eating (postprandial):	70-145 mg/dL (3.9-8.1 mmol/L)
