Hello Ladies!   I think this is the board I belong on.  My story:  Diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago.  Had my son 2.5 years ago, got pregnant (on metformin) 3 months after starting to TTC.  I thought Dr's were wrong with diagnosis.  Now we have been TTC for 8 cycles.  Have been to OB/GYN and he has upped my metformin to 1500mg and DH will be going for an S/A, and I will have more hormone testing on CD3 and CD25.   I look forward to having people to chat with that understand!

 

Are there many other women here suffering with PCOS as well?

    There are a few on here with PCOS too. I am also on metformin!

    Welcome! Our kiddos are about the same age. I also have PCOS but haven't done Metformin. I hope upping the dosage works for you - good luck!

    3/11 DX: lean PCOS/anovulatory
    9/11 ovarian drilling to remove cysts + 5mg Femara = BFN
    10/11 5 mg Femara again = BFP, ectopic pregnancy at 5w4d
    11/11 diagnosed with breast cancer
    12/11 bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction

    Thanks.  I am hoping that having a higher dose will make a difference as well.

    Welcome! My dx was PCOS the first time around, but apparently that has changed. I hope upping the metformin does the trick for you!
