I'm working on a Christmas list for DS and trying to come up with some games. He has some type of matching game at my mom's that he likes, so I have Memory on the list, and also Hi-Ho Cherry-O. Are there any others that would be good for this age?
Candy Land is good. I think she'll like Chutes and Ladders more in a couple months. There is a Very Hungry Caterpillar game that sucks- don't get it! We have the Goodnight Moon matching game which she likes, but it might get too easy in the next 6 months or so.
DS still loves, loves, loves Uno Moo that he got for Xmas last year. We also play Go Fish, Old Maid, Chutes & Ladders, Candy Land, Hi-Ho Cherry-O, Memory, do tons of puzzles, and even old fashioned tic-tac-toe (on paper or with a wooden set that I found somewhere). Can you tell that we LOVE games at our house? I can't wait until our kids are old enough for an official game night each week.
Some favorites in our house are Pengaloo, The Ladybug Game, Zingo Bingo and the Brown Bear Eric Carle game. A few I have on DD's Christmas list are Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, Lost Puppies, Stone Soup, and Hoot Owl Hoot.
Re: Games for a 3.5 year old
I love any games from HABA. We have Orchard and Ear Tugg and Socken Zocken. They are all fun.
On our list are Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders.

I love these two beautiful children!
I had never even heard of HABA but Socken Zocken looks awesome! Thank you!
