Had a missed miscarriage...sad to say goodbye.

My DH and I went in for our 12-13 week checkup on Monday night. He came with me so he could hear the heartbeat for the first time (we saw it on our 8 week ultrasound but hadn't yet heard it). Dr. couldn't find the hb so she sent us for an ultrasound. Ultrasound confirmed that the baby stopped growing right around 9 weeks and no longer had a heartbeat. I had no signs of miscarriage so I am in shock. They gave me until Monday to start to miscarry naturally otherwise I will need to schedule a D&C (which I could schedule any time before that...I'm just not sure what to do).
My husband and I are devestated, scared, and confused. We were so excited to be pregnant with our first child. The Dr. didn't see anything wrong with me...and we just happened to fall in to the small category of miscarriages after confirming an active heartbeat.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I truly hope that you are back on these boards soon. I have heard that women find great support on the Miscarriage board.

We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June
I am so terribly sorry you are going through this. Its so unfair. When I had my m/c I opted to take Misoprostol sometimes called Cytotec. It jump starts the process and it was over in about 8 hours. GL to you. The m/c pregnancy loss board helped me a lot when I had a loss.

I found a lot of support over on TTCAL...the women there are great. They know what it's like and are full of love. Wishing peace for you soon...

Let me start by saying that I am so sorry you are going through this.
I,too, had a missed m/c after seeing the hb. I opted for a d&c because I was showing. No signs of my body doing things on its own. My boss had taken the cytotec and the whole process was long and painful for her. I had complications from my d&c but that is rare. If I had to do it again I was still opt for the d&c.
As others have said, there is lots of support on the loss board.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I hope that whatever needs to happen happens quickly so that you and YH can start to recover from this
The MC/PL and TTCAL boards are very supportive and really helped me through my m/c.

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby.
I know the feelings of pregnancy loss all too well. When you are up to it, check out the miscarriage/pregnancy loss and ttc-al boards. They were a lifesaver for me twice this year.
