Growth scan results measuring small

Hi ladies I had my 32 week growth ultrasound today and the MFM said I was measuring small and my baby's weight was in the 29th percentile. Both my sister and I were small babies so genetically I always thought my baby would be on the small side. I have been put on bed rest and going for nsts twice a week. I go back in 2 weeks for another growth check. Has anyone else experienced measuring in a lower percentile during growth scans? Did you see an increase after? I appreciate any advice or information TiA!

    29th percentile is not that small.  Remember, there is a wide range of normal.  I'm surprised they are putting you on bedrest and doing NSTs unless your bp is up or something they think is contributing to growth restriction.  But you are not even considered IUGR until the baby is less than 10th percentile.  This baby measured in the 22nd percentile last week and my DS was only in the 8th percentile 2 weeks before he was born, but I have a half a uterus and had high bp.  Currently my bp is fine and the only reason they can find that this baby is small is because of my unicornuate uterus.  They don't think I need to go on bedrest or do NSTs unless the baby starts dropping down in the growth charts.  I guess being overly cautious is good, but I would really try not to worry.  Best of luck.

    My LO measured at 29% as well when the doc thought I wasn't big enough. She said it was perfectly fine and I didn't have to have anything done. I just have a small one and I hide it well.

    I been measuring small the whole pregnancy. But 1 percentile, last visit it was 5. I get an ultrasound and NST every week but I dont know why they put you on bedrest. They are inducing me at 37 weeks because of her growth. They dont know if its placenta related or not so better safe then sorry. 29th perscentile doesnt seem bad to me though, I would rather have that... But keep us updated and goodluck!

    I wouldn't worry about it.  Anything between the 10th and 90th percentile is considered normal.

    I am measuring 5 weeks behind. Was measuring 26 cm at 31 weeks and so on. Had a growth ultrasound and all of his organs are normal.

    They never mentioned anything like bed rest related to that but sent me to a nutritionist as I'm a small person.

    Does anyone know what percentile that would be in?

    Omg yes and Im so sorry you're going through that. They induced me at 37/1 with my daughter. This time ds was measuring small and I was discussed with the possibility of being induced again. Luckily he had a growth spurt.

    Thanks for the input! The waist was measuring in the 2nd percentile so that is why they put me on my bed rest. I am definitely nervous and hope that the baby either grows at the same rate or improves in weight gain.
