Need to buy bed rails

Anything I should think about when looking? Any you ladies recommend? We finally bought a real bed for DD, so as of Wednesday night, she'll be using that instead of the crib mattress on the floor.

    I believe ours are safety first, they're fine. I'll be the first to admit, i have no idea if there any difference between brands. I know some folks use pool noodles under the sheets in lieu of the rail. DD has fallen out of bed even with the rail there, one of us forgot to lock it when putting it back up.

    I got this one Regalo Extra long bed rail.  I moved my DS to a queen size bed and this runs almost the full length of the bed.  It was easy to put together and holds firmly to side of the bed so there is no gap for the LO to get stuck in.  My DS has leaned on it and try to climb on it while playing and it has budged.

    we bought ours at Target, we have a queen-size bed, the rail is on one side, the bed is in the corner, so we have 2 pool noodles at the foot of the bed and a toy box there, as well

    We have rails on both sides of my daughter's full size bed since her bed is in the middle of the room.  We did not go with the extra long ones, because it seemed silly to me to move her to a bed, and then basically turn it into a huge crib with rails that went the whole way.  On her bed, there is space at the top near the pillows and at the end of the bed.  She's never fallen out.

    DD's bed isn't against a wall, so we bought the extra long ones for each side fromm One Step Ahead.  She moves like crazy in her sleep, so the standard length wouldn't have worked.  She and DS have been using them, hanging on them, rattling them, etc. for 2+ years and they've held up really well...I would recommend them.
