WDYT: Christmas Card

Do you guys like this style?  It is simple, but I think that is what I like about it.  Only I would make the tag also have our names.  The ribbon and tag would just have to be on the other sides bc of the picture I will use.  I was thinking of using a b&w picture though, wdyt?

  • I like the picture and I like color vs black and white for Christmas cards. :)

  • haha, it's not my picture!  That's the picture they are using to sell the card.  I like color better also, but DH likes the black and white version better bc he says the color one makes him look more pregnant than me.

  • I like it.. but I like to put all our names and the year on the card.. just my own personal thing.  Depends how much you want to put on there.
  • hmm.. So the ribbon is just kinda photoshopped on there, right? its not real?

    Its not really my style.

And why did they crop out half that little girls face? and why is the mom's neck so weird?

And I agree that your names and stuff should be on there.  What if I got your christmas card and forgot who you were?Stick out tongue

  • Hmmm...that photo is cute but do you have a non tilted version? I think both a diagonal photo and diagonal ribbons may not look that good. I love good black and white photos on Christmas cards...so I wouldn't be too concerned about that part.

I agree with this, also at first glance I thought your daughter wasn't holding your husbands hand, but it seemed like the b & w washed her arm out a bit (that could very well be my computer though...)

  • There is a spot at the bottom to add a message and our names, which we would do on any type of card.  I only have the tilted pictures.  And I do like color in general better, but it is just that DH prefers how he looks in the b&w one better.  Maybe I will do one of the choices with multiple photos instead so that it isn't a big focus and then just use pics of dd alone for the other photos.  But if I did that, I'm thinking I should use a picture where DH and I are actually looking at the camera, even though DH doesn't like how he looks in it.  He is hard bc he basically doesn't like any pictures of himself - that b&w one is the first time in years he has said he liked it.

  • The second family pic you posted would probably be better for the original design you wanted. The first one would be good if you had a few pics on the card.

Agree with Telyco! Love the pic of you guys but think the diagonal ribbon might not work well. What are your other card options? Anything that has Merry Christmas going straight across the bottom maybe?
