I'm 23 weeks- My fiance and couple of my friends are talking about going to a haunted maze, and for some reason I'm a little unsure about it. Is it okay to get scared out of my mind while pregnant? Or is there anything I should be cautious about?
I've never been to a Haunted Maze, but the Haunted Houses I've been to, I wouldn't recommend. It was dark, things were jumping out at us, and people were pushing into other people. I didn't like it and wouldn't go while pregnant! A corn maze or something may be different, though.

I've heard that most haunted houses/mazes won't allow pregnant women to enter. I think it probably has to do with the dark and the possibility that you get easily get jostled or trip or worse.
I'm doing one tonight that's even more than just a maze. We called and it's a CYA thing for them to say that pregnant women shouldn't do it. We check with the Ob and its fine, just be careful.

They will let you go to haunted houses. I already went to one this year. They say pregnant women should consider not going, but I think that is a CYA thing on their part. The thing you have to watch for is tripping in the dark and being pushed by people. If you scare really easily than perhaps you shouldn't go because it can raise your blood pressure, but so can watching a scary movie. Ultimately, you have to make the decision for yourself OP, but like I said I already went this year, and I would go again.

It is safe emotionally to go through haunted houses/mazes while pregnant. My doctor says that will have no effect on the baby. However watch out for crowds of people pushing, or tripping in the dark
I went when I was 25 weeks, and we had a blast. There was a sign that said no pregnant women, so you might need to conceal the bump
I was a little worried because I had a few unpredictable emotional moments where I couldnt stop laughing and crying at the same time, and didnt want that to happen there. I made sure to go with people that I knew very well and can ground me if the clown face mask threw me off the deep end..
no way you can go! what if it scares the baby and it has nightmares? then you'll be up all night trying to calm down baby inside you and you won't get your sleep.
instead i suggest you and DH/SO have a nice meal of lunch meats, soft cheeses, sushi and soft serve ice cream for a treat. baby will love that!

The one we went to said no pregnant mamas. I would do a daylight corn maze, if you really want to. I think the main issue is tripping and falling or getting run into. A few years ago, my sis, a friend and I were running from a chainsaw. My sis tripped in the dark, and we didn't see her till we hit her and all fell into a giant heap. We thought she broke a wrist!! We all ended up OK, but I would be Terrified of that pregnant. But the daylight ones, where you just find your way through would be fun. Take a water bottle, eat a smidge before, and go walking. Still fun and good exercise!
