No RSVP's

Do people wait until the last minute to RSVP? I have had almost everyone tell me they are coming to my Baby Shower but only 10 people have RSVPed... They are suppose to RSVP with my Aunt by Nov. 1st. Did people RSVP for your shower? How many people showed up that didn't RSVP?

My mom did regrets only and I KNOW there are some people who can't make it but haven't let my mom know (and my shower is Sunday) people LOVE to procrastinate!

The last day to RSVP for mine is today and we haven't heard from 50% of the people on the list. I'm pretty sure most of those people ARE coming as they are Aunts, cousins, etc who have all mentioned being excited about the shower. My sister's will be following up with phone calls because we need numbers for the venue by Monday.

Most people have RSVP'd in the last week or so, I would say you still have time!

I think only 3 people rsvp'd for my shower, the rest just showed up or some even text me the day after saying sorry i couldnt make it.

Only one person actually called my Mom to rsvp. The rest had to be followed up with. I think a lot of people are just really bad about rsvp's these days. Honestly there have been a couple times I didn't rsvp for things because I got busy and forgot about it.

my mom and sister had a terrible problem with people not RSVP-ing to my shower. not many showed up that hadn't let us know but a lot of people just ignored it. can't say it didn't hurt my feelings some.

I'm throwing a shower for my friend who is pregnant (obv) and kind of wanted to do evite because I feel like more people will click through from the email and let you know, plus there are the reminders. but I got shamed out of that idea over on the baby shower board! haha.

Thats what I am thinking... I just want it to be easy for my Aunt's to know how much food to make. It is a pretty big shower (70 people invited) and its hard to guess on the amount of food. I never thought to do follow up calls... I guess that is a good idea! You ladies rock!!

Thats what I am thinking... I just want it to be easy for my Aunt's to know how much food to make. It is a pretty big shower (70 people invited) and its hard to guess on the amount of food. I never thought to do follow up calls... I guess that is a good idea! You ladies rock!!

I'm getting a little worried too. I'm assume most ppl wait til the last min or even forget to actually call. I still have time but I never wait to the last min so I guess I don't understand why ppl do. The rsvp date isn't until next Tuesday but we have only heard from 3 ppl, so I'm hoping over the weekend we get the rest otherwise were planing a shower with two guest. I know my mom won't follow up with anyone so if no one else calls I'm sure I will have to or just plan accordly.

It must be a trend. I still have 2 weeks until my shower but only 2 of RSVP'd so far. I guess we may have to do some follow ups next week.

This is what happened at my wedding shower. Guests would tell me if they were coming but they didn't rsvp to the hostess. For my baby shower, my hostess didn't even included a rsvp number because it seems so many people don't bother these days. I'll have a rough count available to her before hand. It is frustrating when trying to plan something.

People suck at RSVPing, regardless of the event.

I am throwing a party for DH and invited 80ish people. Maybe 1/3 RSVPd in time (two weeks before the party). I had a few people RSVP today and the party is Saturday!

Follow up calls help, but it still doesn't fix it all. Sadly.

We have heard from just a handful of people for my shower on Nov 6th. We are having it at a venue and they need a headcount a few days prior so I am hoping more ppl RSVP soon. I remember the same thing happenng when my mom was waiting for people to respond to my bridal shower-- I think it is so rude that people can't make a call to say if they will be attending or not. This situation always reminds me why I call sooner than later to respond to other people events.

Maybe I will wait until the last day and do a FB group... that is a really good idea. I just dont want to seem pushy. I would just feel bad for my Aunts when they make food for 20 people and 70 show up or the other way around.
