I really like this name for a boy, but I'm not sure what original spelling is. I'd think Merrick but I also saw Merric on babynames.com and Marek on facebook (NMS). Do you think the k is unnecessary or makes it look more complete?
Also, what middle names do you think with it? Dallas, Glen, Dylan, and Bennett are all family names, but I'm curious what other suggestions you all have! Thanks!

I have no idea what the traditional spelling for this name is, but from appearance alone I like the look of Merric the best. I think Merric Glen sounds nice.
The name isn't my style, but it's not bad either.
Marek is the Czech and Slovak version of the name Mark. I know a lot of Czech Mareks. It's a nice and relatively common name in that part of the world.
According to the interwebs, Merrick is an Anglicized version of the Welsh variant of Maurice.
They're pronounced the same but are different names.
