Merrick?

I really like this name for a boy, but I'm not sure what original spelling is.  I'd think Merrick but I also saw Merric on babynames.com and Marek on facebook (NMS).  Do you think the k is unnecessary or makes it look more complete? 

Also, what middle names do you think with it?  Dallas, Glen, Dylan, and Bennett are all family names, but I'm curious what other suggestions you all have!  Thanks!

I have no idea what the traditional spelling for this name is, but from appearance alone I like the look of Merric the best. I think Merric Glen sounds nice.

 

The name isn't my style, but it's not bad either.

The only person I know of with this name spells it Merrick.  I like it better with the K I think.  I like Merrick Bennett and Merrick Dylan.

LOVE Merrick- I know a young man with this name.  I like it spelled that way the best.  Of your MN options, I like Merrick Dallas or Dylan.  Other suggestions would be Allen, John, David

Marek is the Czech and Slovak version of the name Mark.  I know a lot of Czech Mareks.  It's a nice and relatively common name in that part of the world.

According to the interwebs, Merrick is an Anglicized version of the Welsh variant of Maurice.

They're pronounced the same but are different names.

LOVE it. It's my great-grandfather's name. It was a top contender if our LO had been a boy. I like Merrick Glen the best but I think a really classic name like William, James, Edward, would go nicely in the mn slot too

merric looks weird to me, i think merrick looks more "proper." merrick dylan.
