We have been on a tight budget since DS was born so I could be a SAHM. I've been trying to be frugal about this little girl coming and only buying things we need or reusing things from DS but I've been really stressed about clothes for our little girl. With medical bills already piling up and our insurance being crazy expensive with a high deductible, there is much wiggle room in our budget. I've been picking things up when I see something on sale but we've been getting bare minimum basics (onisies, gowns pjs)
My SIL just called me and they have decided that they arent having anymore children and since she just had my niece in June she wanted to know if I want her hand me downs! She said that most things have only been born once or twice. There might be a couple things I cant use due to the difference in seasons but I figure its nothing some long sleeve white onsies and some leggings or tights cant fix. This is such a relief. She knows how stressed Ive been about getting clothes, so I am so greatful that they would think of us and be willing to give them to us. Im so excited!

Aww that's wonderful!
My DD wears tons of hand-me-downs (I'm the last of my siblings to have children).. and she is a VERY well-dressed girl!
A great thing about bigger girl clothes is that they don't wear nearly as badly as boy clothes because girls are just generally cleaner and not as rough and tumble.
I love hand me downs! I got a bunch of stuff from a family I babysat that got us through the summer for DD, then was lucky enough to get enough clothes as gifts for her birthday to get us through the fall. Yay for you!
That's great!!!!
I just had a lady I used to work with message me on FB yesterday to offer me all her girl clothes. She has everything from NB to 1 year! DH and I are so grateful to her, because there are no girl hand-me-downs in our family or with friends... they all had boys! I feel pretty lucky.
