2nd Trimester

Dreading going to "sleep"

Nightimes have become torture sessions.  I have had to pee four times a night for the past two weeks, three before that.  That has worked out to be about every 1 1/2 hours.  I don't know where it is all coming from.  I'm not drinking much water at night, and I go before I get in bed.

It takes me awhile to get back to sleep after I go,  and I have such weird dreams I don't feel rested at all.

For example,  before we went to bed, we caught up on some Kardashians.  One of the dreams I remember is that DH and I slept through Kim's engagement party, and her mother was chewing us out at the wedding for being so rude.  It caused me so much anxiety in my sleep, like why is she yelling at us, how do we know the Kardashians, I was so confused.  So, not like a night terror or anything but my heart was racing when I woke up!

Re: Dreading going to "sleep"

  • Awww.  I haven't been having nightmares myself (well for the last few days.  I did have some last week but they were entirely my DH's fault) but I have been having some really vivid dreams.   And last night... I dreamed about bones and their names and functions because I had a test in Anatomy and Physiology today and I studied right before I went to bed.

  • You are not alone. I have had insane dreams the past couple months, ranging from my husband and I being border agents in a shootout with immigrants, to seeing Richard Petty ( most winning NASCAR Driver) standing on the train tracks getting ready to be hit by a train, from dodging tornadoes with my mom! Aren't we supposeed to be enjoying the sleep now, and not getting much when the baby gets here!

  • I have been having very vivid dreams too.  None of them have been nightmares exactly, just very intense.  I've been lucky though because my need to pee a lot in the middle of the night has ceased.  I hope you get some true sleep soon!
  • I had a pile of Zombie dreams last night..

I can't really remember them all.. but i can remember running and trying to find hiding spots.. my son was with me.. so it made it all the more hetic me and husband trying to get him to satety..

I hate Zombies!! I avoid watching Zombie movies especially when they are the fast running kind.. cause they end up giving me nightmares of weeks even when not pregnant...

I haven't watched a zombie movie in awhile

  • I've always had vivid dreams so that's nothing new, but I hear ya on the peeing. On my worst night I had to get up to pee five times in the first forrty minutes I was in bed. That is crazy!! I now have a super-strict rule that I can't have ANY liquids after 9pm. I still have to go a few times at night but it's much better than before.

I had a dream a few weeks back about dodging tornados with my mom 2. Strange!

This is exactly why it was my husband's fault I had nightmares a week ago.  He LOVES zombies... and thus I am forced to watch zombie movies and shows with him and then I have the nightmares. :(
