do you hold them while drinking bottle then put them in crib drowsy? do you put them in crib when they fall asleep in your arms? do you put them in crib with bottle and leave? just curious...trying to perfect our nighttime routine

thanks!

Re: how do you put your LO's to bed?
My goodness, with triplets, none of the above! (You must have more energy than me!)
They always had their last bottle with dinner. We'd put them in bed awake. No rocking, no bottle, nothing like that. Probably a story before turning off the light, but that's about it.

After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!
Baby Girl #3!
Since they were about 6w old, we've brought them upstairs at bedtime, change them into PJs and sleep sacks, and then DH and I each hold a baby and feed them a bottle. We then read them 3 books, put them in their cribs, say goodnight, and walk out. They are usually asleep within 15 minutes of going into their cribs (they are awake when we put them in, usually standing up as we leave the room).
We're getting ready to get rid of this bedtime bottle or at least switch it out for a sippy of milk. We also brush their teeth after the bottle.
If I had triplets (or whenever I'm alone for bedtime), I put the LOs in bouncy seats in their bedroom for bottles/sippies so they feed themselves, and then I read to them while still in the seats. If I had to do this on a regular basis, I'd probably put them in infant-to-toddler rockers for that bottle and book reading or I'd just give the bottle at dinner.
We've never fed ours to sleep. Sure, they may have fallen asleep while eating during the early days, but they'd always wake up a bit when we swaddled them and then put them down.
Until the last week, we'd give them dinner, a bath, and then a bottle in the nursery while holding them, and put them down awake. We've now moved to all sippies and give them the sippy with dinner. They're not happy when we get to the nursery and there's no bottle but they still go to sleep. After nearly a year of bedtime being a 2 man job by our own doing, we needed to make it a one man process.
My boys last feeding is around 7:45 & 8. We usually let them play for a little bit or I read them a story while they are in bed. Then we put them down with their sound machine on and they are usually out within 5-10 minutes.
They have their last bottle in their room on boppies while I read two books. They generally drink half of the bottle then throw it down and start to romp around the room. Once all have ditched the bottles we give them hugs and kisses and put them in their cribs and walk out. Two of them generally go to sleep without any fussing at all. One of them fusses a little. We have had a few nights of no one making a peep.. it was heavenly. Occasionally someone is having a bad night and I have to go back and comfort him but that is not the norm.
We haven't worked in the teeth brushing yet I'm embarased to say. I guess we just have to do it while they are romping around after bottle.
ETA: We did CIO with all of them to get to this point. Two of them were at 7 months and we continued to rock one until he was about 10 months old and then did CIO. We didn't do him at the same time as his brothers because he was STTN after being rocked to sleep where as the other two were not.
