We used them and I was (and am) very happy with them. It has been nice for us to continue to grow with because they also make a sippy cup where the lids interchange with the bottles - she hated the sippy lids, but the handles have been a lifesaver to get her to hold her own bottle. We did not bf, so I don't know how the change between one or the other works.
They are easy to wash, you can put them in the dishwasher and there are not a ton of parts, so that is a plus.

My sister started with these. Her daughter was having all kinds of stomach/gas issues so her Dr suggested using Dr Browns and those were a lifesaver.
She did hate how hard Dr Browns are to clean!!
I used Dr Browns too, saw a huge difference in DS with them, instant gas if I used anything else. But yes, they are a B*#$@ to clean! I guess I'd rather do more dishes then have an upset baby though. I had a few girlfriends that had LO's that preferred the Tommee Tippee sippy cups though.
The nipple flow was too fast for DS. He made the biggest mess with them, even with the stage 1 nipples. We are also tried out the sippy cups and the same thing. We ended up using Dr. Brown's for bottles and Munckin for sippy cups.

Oh no! I had registered for these because Baby Bargains said they were good for moms who were planning on switching back and forth between breastfeeding and bottlefeeding. Now I might have to reconsider ...
I think it is just going to depend on the baby. I am a FTM, but I wouldn't panic too much, all my friends have said that the baby picks the bottle they like best anyway. My friend reccomended registering for a few different types of bottles so you have more to chose from to see which works best for baby. I have friends who swear by the tomme tippy bottles and some that didn't like them.

I'm planning on the same thing, so I'm going to try the Breastflow bottles. Like any bottle, there will be negative reviews, but I've read a ton of positive reviews by moms who have switched back and forth. This bottle is suppose to let the baby control the flow of the milk and they need to use both compression and suction like breastfeeding to get the milk. Yes, there are two nipples, but they come right apart to clean. Obviously I haven't tried them, but I'm excited to. The one thing I have read is that the outer nipple collapses but apparently that's by design and suppose to be similar to the breast.
