I've noticed in the last week or so that I will wake up at night and my arms or hands are 'asleep', you know, all tingling and stuff. I've been trying to avoid sleeping on my back (my favorite position) but that doesnt seem to matter. Last night I was on my right side, woke up and my left arm was numb.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Re: Sleeping and numb arms
Me too! I try to shift around as much as I can, but I wonder if there's something else to do about it.
I have the same issue (actually its getting worse) and talked to my doc about it. She says its probably water retention compressing on my carpal tunnel nerve, thus making my hands and arms numb. Its gotten pretty bad to the point that simply driving, I have to switch hands on the steering wheel cause they go numb.
She suggested wearing wrist braces at night.
