Does anyone else feel like when you tell people that you are expecting, name choices, show them pix they all of a sudden just tell you their opinions:
ITS A GIRL I just know it (do you all of a sudden have powers too?)
ITS TWINS because you are so big (did they really just call me fat!?)
Just stupid *** I get so mad sometimes is there a way to polietly tell people to shut up and I don't really want their opinion just for them to be happy for me?
Re: Opinions aren't optional anymore
It's annoying, but you have to just let it roll off your back. I don't think people intentionally mean anything rude by it, they are just excited for you. And if people haven't seen you in awhile and then see you pregnant, you do look big (NOT fat, just big and pregnant and happy). Try to take it as a compliment!
And Congrats on the baby!
ETA: though I do have to say, since we already had a boy the comment that I do hate and that I STILL get when people see DS2 is "did (do) you want a girl?" If you say no, people assume you are lying. if you say yes, then people assume you are disappointed when you have another boy. Honestly, I didn't care one way or the other and I wish people would stop asking! :-) Guess I just need to follow my own advice and let that one go!
