Here is the link! It tells you in detail about using a Sonotrax/Sonoline B doppler:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFQfZ754geMShe is from April 2012! Hope this helps everyone!
Your welcome! I was getting mad because I wasn't able to find the HB but I watched this (yes I had it with DS, but in 2 years you forget a lot of things haha) and found it the next morning.
Also here are the types of sounds you will hear on here's as well as yours:
Fetal Sounds A galloping horse is what your baby's heartbeat will sound like and will be about twice as fast as the mother's heart rate. An average normal fetal heart rate is between 120-180 BPM (Beats Per Minute). Where as an average adult heart rate at rest is between 60-100 BPM.Maternal Sounds You may also hear sounds of your own heart or blood flow. A major artery runs through your abdomen and the swish of your blood through it is sometimes picked up by the fetal doppler. This sound is heard by the baby later in pregnancy and has been recorded and used to calm upset babies after birth.Placental Sounds
The blood flow becomes steadier as it flows through the placenta and has a distinctive sound like wind blowing through the trees.
Thanks for posting this- I'm sure some will find this very helpful!
Unfortunately, my technique is good/ consistent with this and everything else I have tried from other peeps tips but no luck finding a heart beat, looking forward to my appt tomorrow for some answers!!
Maybe you have an anterior placenta and baby hides in back. Or it just may be too early. Some don't hear it until 12 weeks. Good luck with your appt. tomorrow. Keep us updated!
