I'm 5'1" as well...I bought a pair of maternity jeans at Motherhood and they are perfect lengthwise. Now just to wait til I get a little more belly so they don't slip down...
Both of the above suggestions have worked well for me. I did buy a couple of regular length pairs so that I can wear them with heels. Also, for me, I find the full panel to be the most comfortable and least noticeable underneath shirts.
I'm going to be in the minority here, but I didn't like the petite Motherhood pants at all. They were perfect in length, but they fit horrible in other places...the butt was saggy and they were baggy in the legs. I wore my b-band throughout my entire pregnancy with my work pants, and stuck with the Motherhood jeans. I'm hoping to find some nicer pants this time around. Good luck!
I'm 5' 3'' and with DD I got my pants at Motherhood and they were HORRIBLE. They looked like flood pants. This time I bought a pair of Gap pants at the ankle length and I am so happy. I ended up getting a few more pairs.

Re: Petite maternity pants
I'm 5'0 but I have a big butt and thighs- I need a petite 10 and the Motherhood Maternity petites were way too long on me.
I'm going to try the GAP ankle length pants and see if they work for me.
I have two pairs from Motherhood. I'm 4'10". They are amazing, and I love them
ETA: I have a khaki pair and regular jeans.
