2x+ Moms: was your labor similar to your mother's?

Just curious for all those who are not FTM: Was your labor experience (ease of labor, time, etc) similar to that of your mom?

I ask b/c my mom labored for only 3 hours for each of her 3 kids. I'm kind of hoping my experience will be similar.

Yes! Both 15 hours all natural. Almost exact except she labored in her thighs and I did not but I think that is just the position of the baby.

Mine was nothing like my moms. She was 18 days late and had to be induced, she labored for 17 hours and I went into distress and she had to have a c-section. With my other three siblings she had scheduled c-sections.

I went into labor naturally 6 days after my EDD. I started having contractions in my back on Thanksgiving and my water broke at 3 in the morning the day after Thanksgiving. At 8:05 that evening I had Toot.

Nope nothing like my mom's. My mom was in labor for 27 hours with my brother and was two weeks late (natural). With my sister she was in labor for 20 hours and was three weeks late (pitocin). With me I was three weeks late and she was in labor for 2 hours. She didn't have any complications.

With my DS I was induced at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia and was in labor for 36 1/2 hours (cytotec, pitocin, & epidural). Once I got the epidural I had DS within 4 hours of it. Yep I went 32 1/2 hours....I was exhausted.

I was induced ten days early and dd had to be vacumed out. I pushed four hours and she was stuck.

My mom went into labor ten days early on her own and I had to be vacumed out. I don't know how long she pushed.

Nope. My mothers first labor (brother) was 1-2wks early and lasted 28hrs and a breeze, then I came along almost 2wks late and with a 13hr labor and at some point they gave her a shot to put her to sleep for a bit because she was in so much pain. My 2 younger sisters were also 13hrs long and were much better. Apparently I (2nd birth) tried to kill her then shot out like a football and the doc almost didn't catch me, lol.

My girls (so far) were 17hrs (3 days late) and easy for a bit but the last 6hrs were complicated and I ended up getting a medically needed epi. DD2 was 2wks late and 6hrs long and I asked for the epi and OMG I thought I was gonna die! DD3 was 5 days early, tons of complications and easy going (no epi).

Yes and it makes me nervous because she had her second at home delivered by the firemen. Her water broke, contractions started and 15 mom later my sister was born. Yikes! 6 kids, never more than 3 hours of labor.

Nope, my mom was 2 weeks late, induced and in labor for over 24 hours, and ended in a c-section. The other 2 were scheduled sections. I went into labor a week early and delivered naturally within 8 hours of my water breaking.

Not even close. My mom labored for 38 (yea, 38) hours with me (her first). And over 24 hours with my brother. I labored for 7.5 hours with my first, and 11 with my second.

Not in the least bit. I was a footling breech. I should NOT have been delivered naturally. I came out not breathing and had to be whisked away to the NICU. My mom said labor was brutal and 18 hrs long. My brother never dropped. So he was c-section. My other brother and two sisters were all c-section too because they were breech. So, she never went into actual labor with them.

My son dropped, but I never went into labor. I had to be induced a week after his due date. even when I went in DS wasn't ready to come out! I had a 9 hr labor after the pitocin and it went fine.

no, not at all! my mom's were all pretty short. With me she was at the hospital for about an hour and she said I basically slipped out, she hardly had to push. I was in labor for 27 hours.

nope. to start my mom and i both have the exact same frame, height, bone structure, etc. With my brother and myself my mom delivered about a month early, had long labors, had a forceps delivery with one, and hemorrhaged after both.

I had cervical ripening overnight at 38.5 weeks (for oligohydramnios). In the morning they broke my water (was 2 cm) 2 hours later I was 4 (baby was malpositioned and I had intense back labor). Then with all the position changes I was doing he finally rotated and I went from 4 to 10cm in 45 minutes. Not early, not long, and no hemorrhage.

no they weren't. Mine were all short and quick, my mom's weren't
