I got my blood test done today and it came back positive, but the levels were only 18 hcg. I talked to the nurse, she reassured me that I still have hope. But honestly, I feel like I'm just waiting to start bleeding.
Try not to feel like that - you may have ovulated later and not be as far along as you think. Fingers crossed for you! Are you getting a repeat draw in 48 hours?
To make you feel better - my specialist said anything over 5 is "pregnant" they like to see at least a 10 at time of first beta (which for me was 4 weeks 4 days). You're over 10, so don't give up hope

*hugs you* At least they told u to have hope! If you read my thread they gave me no NUMBERS and dashed my HOPES but the ladies here have given it back! No worries and keep your head up! We can still have healthy little ones!
Last Sunday, October 9, I got a positive test from the dollar store, however, every other test I took was negative. I was expecting my period around October 3 or 4. My last period was Sept 6. We had sex on the 17th and 19th. *I know, we haven't had an active month!* The nurse I talked to made me feel better that I may have ovulated later than I thought and the sperm survived a long time making it *possibly* a week later than I thought. I had light pink this morning and this afternoon 90% of the time I go to the bathroom, there is dark brown blood, but I've had a couple that aren't brown but a little red. But not BRIGHT red. I know this may be implantation blood but...I'm still freaked out. When I got pregnant last year with our son I never had a low count or anything. Everything was perfect with him.
I would be cautiously optimistic at this point.. If you registered + on a test a week ago.. Say your levels were 5 then and it was a super sensitive test... Even if your levels were only doubling every 72 hours, they should be over 20 today...

im sure its fine. Hang in there. This is why I hated getting my betas drawn for DS, it drove me insane and made me anxious. Last time and this time Im at a new doc and they dont do them unless necessary, I am glad for that.
Im sure you just implanted later than you thought.

Thanks, Ladies! I have been freaking out all night. The nurse told me to ask for another test early next week if it's driving me insane and I absolutely can't wait until Friday. We'll see how this weekend goes. I'll keep you all up to date.
Based on my math, using her ticker, her daughter was born in August of 2012, so I'm guessing that the pregnancy discussed in this post wasn't viable, but she got pregnant again with her daughter soon after.
