Labor and Delivery all day long...

I had been having terrible contractions all night that were 3-5 mins appt. I tried chugging huge amounts of water, and was of course laying down. I didn't sleep at all, and called the on call dr. She said to come on in for monitoring. So I did, and they checked my cervix by ultrasound, it was good and closed. Fast forward, I was still contracting pretty good and they sent me to Labor and delivery to give me a Bretheren (sp?) shot. I was terrified of it because it can make your heart race, and I have panic disorder anyway.Luckily, my contractions slowed to 15 mins apart, and they released me to go on strict bedrest. We are hoping to keep her in until 35wks. With the placenta previa, they are mostly concerned with me hemorrhaging. I am exhausted now and think I am going to turn in now, oh at 6pm. Cannot believe I am having this preterm labor stuff again. DS was 4wks early,and looks like Avery certainly will be too. So much for the 17P shots I have been taking once a week since 17wks pregnant!

    Scary! Stay in there LO! I hope everything stays under control for a couple more weeks.

    Oh, it does sound like Avery is getting ready to appear doesn't it? All I can say is don't give up hope that she'll snuggle in and stay inside there awhile longer. I have my fingers crossed and my best wishes are all coming your way. I'm glad you went and got thoroughly checked out. Just keep us updated please :-)

    Yes Avery needs to stay put!!  That does sound scary and I would be exausted too!  Get some rest and let us know how you are doing!

    Oh no! I am so sorry you had to go through that all day! I hope she stays in there at least a couple weeks longer!

    Thanks guys. I am up from a 3 hr nap now. I hope I can go back to sleep tonight now! Haha. Still contracting, but nothing like last night and earlier today. This is for the birds! I remember bedrest form last time,and it was so hard not doing anything. I am such a busy body, and my house is not clean enough yet! Guess DH will have to get on that now. He is planning to clean this weekend and get the carseat installed once he vacuums out the car. He finally got our van detailed today. I am so proud that he is getting on the ball. Today must have been awake up call that it is crunch time!
