I've been dying to get a haircut. DH is obsessed with long hair but mine is driving me insane. It's thick and down to the middle of my back now. It's the kind of hair where I have to straighten it or use product to curl it. I'm thinking about something pretty drastic... would you? (the pic below of Eva Mendes) I'm always paranoid about getting a haircut and hating it.
It's just that since my hair is sooooo long our fam is always like, "oh no, you're not going to cut your long hair are you?"
I like it a lot, and I do not consider that short at all. I get sick of my hair when it goes past my shoulders. I always figure, if I hate a haircut, it does grow back, so I am pretty laxed about it.
Nope, that isn't short! I like it! It is your hair, cut it if it is driving you nuts.....and tell dh to grow his own hair if he likes long hair so much! =P
It will always grow back....I chopped my hair last Easter and it is already grown back. My hair grows super fast!
I don't think that is short at all... definitely not drastic!
I think it would look cute on you... and would probably be much easier to maintain. It's still plenty long enough to pull back too.
Funny your DH is obsessed w/ long hair... my dh loves mine short (and w/ blond highlights), right now it's probably the longest it's ever been and I just colored it darker for fall! I just made an appt to get it cut, but just a trim. He keeps asking me if I'm gonna chop it!

Haha, that's the problem... he had long hair when he was a teenager and loved it. I am SO SO SO against men with long hair. He always said if I cut my hair, he would let his grow. He says (his words, not mine) that women cutting their hair short is the 1st step of letting themselves go.
Do it! That cut is so cute, and you will feel so much better. DH likes my hair long, too. But I wanted it shorted so I stopped putting it in a ponytail everyday. So, I made the appt to get it cut when he was out of town and didn't tell him I was going. When he got home that night, I told him I wanted to surprise him. And, he says he likes it...if he's lying, I don't know. And it will grow back! It sounds like you have enough to donate, which would motivate me even more. What a great feeling to be able to help others that way.
It will probably seem really short to you compared to what you're used to, but I think it's a long cut. I'd go for it. You'll still be able to do a lot with it, and it will be easier to manage.
I don't think it is drastic at all. I don't think that short hair = letting your self go. I think women with long hair look sloppier b/c they throw it up in a ponytail or don't put product in it then look frizzy. I have women at work with long hair and it grosses me out. When you have short hair you have to do it everyday or it looks bad. You can't just throw it in a ponytail. You have beautiful hair. I can only imagine how long it takes to straighten. I think the shorter hair would be easy for you.
Dh loves me with short hair. I just can't go that short again. Will you try to do it before disney?
I have a suggestion: donate your hair. Tell DH that you wanted to help out someone with cancer that needed hair:) Ya know, you wanted to do something nice for someone else. Then you get a free hair cut too! And I had hair to my butt through college and it was drastic when I cut it below my shoulders. DH was deployed but he was still shocked when I got it cut. But he got over it in a day or so. I donate my hair every year. If you look up locks for love they have participating salons in your area. My regular salon was able to take donated hair. Just a thought. I love the haircut too! A haircut makes you feel so much better. You deserve it!

I can't see the pic...but I am in the same boat. I only ever wear my hair tied back so what is the point? I will be cutting mine next year - after I hope to lose some weight. I want to be skinny with long hair just one more time...then I can let myself go, haha!!! Well, maybe not but I'll at least be skinny with a put together hairdo.

Oh wow! I say cut it...I like the look and it isnt short at all...
I don't think that's drastic.. Its still shoulder length or a little below. You'd still be able to style it how you do now, either up or down..
That being said, I cut my hair short-ish, in like April.. and I'm definitley growing it out again.. it just feels more "me"
