So we got what we thought were our ultrasound results yesterday from a fellow at the NICU. She basically told us both boys had no change in their bleeds from the last u/s. Although they both have grade 3 & 4 bleeds, we took this as good news since they said there are no blockages in the ventricles.
Fast forward to this morning, and it turns out that: 1. Ryan didn't even have an u/s yesterday. His is scheduled for tomorrow. & 2. Aiden's brain bleed is evolving and changing his brain matter. The doctor called it cavitation (I think). On top of that he hasn't kicked his infection yet.
We had a rough day today. Praying to God all day that the new antibiotic he was put on works and that his bleed doesn't evolve further. I'm scared for my baby boy.
Re: Update on 'nervous' post from yesterday
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

I am so sorry. I would be livid with all of the false information you've been given. In fact, I'm angry for you.
You and your boys are in our thoughts and prayers. Sending lots of virtual hugs.
This makes me angry for you! What a mess up on their part - ugh!
That aside, I'm very concerned and will continue to pray for all of you. I'm so sorry.
Like everyone else, I'm very upset they keep giving you false information. You don't need that!
Sending lots of prayers for your family, especially your sweet boys. I hope you get more complete information tomorrow during rounds. If you can't be there, demand to talk to the head neo on their case. I can't imagine how stressed you are right now, please let us know if we can help in any way.
Our precious girl, born at 27 weeks.
No, we are at Northshore Manhasset which is supposed to be a very good NICU. Thank you anyway.

I'm late to this post, but I hope you get some answers today. Put your foot down and demand to talk to the attending doctor.
It's so frustrating when you get misinformation, especially when it's your LOs involved.
Email me or FB message me if you need to vent, cry, or b!tch. I'll be glad to listen.
