Hi ladies, I'll admit I haven't lurked here much lately but we are expecting a little one in Feb. 2012.
I am wondering what preferences you all have for (mostly short-term) milk storage. I am hopefully going to be employed (laid-off but job seeking) part-time after baby arrives so I know in addition to BFing, I'll need to store milk in the fridge both from pumping and while I'm gone. I wanted to store in glass, but don't want to loose benefits (am I correct that leukocytes stick to glass?).
Could you share your preferences for glass versus plastic, which brands you like best and why? TIA!
Re: Hi ladies- BF/ milk storage
I used the lansinoh storage bags.

Today I am pregnant & I love my baby!
I pump into and store in glass, because my bottles go directly into the freezer anyways. From my understanding freezing milk (whether in glass or plastic) destroys leukocytes anyways. So if you're planning to put the milk in the freezer, you can put it in glass, but it you're putting it in the fridge only it would be better in plastic.
I use evenflo glass bottles and mason jars in my freezer.
You can get Honeysuckle storage bags on amazon too, they are biodegradable too. I have those and their baby food storage bags.
