A little over a week ago I wrote a "goodbye" post because that's what both the u/s tech and midwife indicated was appropriate ... they said the pregnancy was no longer viable, and we should move on.
That's what I've been trying to do.
However, they told me to expect bleeding to indicate the miscarriage, but I haven't had any (not even any spotting). On the contrary, I've still been experiencing constant hunger, nausea, fatigue, sore boobs, and (I hate to admit it) irritability thanks to the above symptoms. I finally called and asked them why I was still having all the same pregnancy symptoms and no bleeding (makes it VERY hard to move on) and they asked me to come in for blood work (twice over 48 hours). Blood results are back .... and much to everyone's surprise .... I am, in fact, still pregnant! My numbers are still rising. They scheduled a u/s for next Wednesday to give us an official EDD, and check everything (including heart beat).
Although I'm THRILLED beyond belief, I think I'm still remaining cautiously optimistic until we REALLY see something (the right things ... the good things) on the u/s next week. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers being said by me and my family that this is really happening!
A sticky, elusive baby? I'm okay with that

That is fantastic news! I understand wanting to be cautious, but stay positive!!! Good luck :-)
I will for sure keep everyone posted after the U/S next week. Hopefully it'll be good news!
We honestly aren't sure how far along I am (I know that sounds weird) ... we thought we were about 6-7 weeks last week (based on when my DH was in town)when they told us the pregnancy was no longer viable, but we weren't sure. My cycles are all over the place (3 weeks one cycle, then 9 weeks the next cycle, 5 weeks the next cycle, etc... we can't really predict what this one would have been.) So maybe we're 7-8 weeks now?? Maybe?

I really appreciate all the positive vibes!! (I love this group of May Moms.) I sincerely hope this isn't too good to be true. Plus I don't think I can emotionally handle another up & down like that.
I would be pushing as hard as I could if it was possible, Wednesday feels like a very long way away, but the birthing center I'd like to have our baby at only has ultrasounds on Wednesdays, so that's the soonest they can squeeze me in (and I am being pushed in between other appointments, thank goodness, instead of them making me wait yet another week, which would be miserable.)
Wow, this is really great news. T&Ps for you that you continue to get good news!!
Oh, and your dog is adorable!!
Hehehe... when my mom got pregnant back in '79 she miscarried at 3 months. She had a D&C and continued on her merry way. A couple months later she was still having those preggo symptoms. She went back to the dr who said "oops! You were preg with twins and we didn't know the 2nd one was there, and somehow miraculously we missed her in the D&C" (totally paraphrasing). And here I am today. Fingers crossed for a sticky, elusive baby for you. Sometimes we just like to hide out for a bit before making our presence known.
WOW! What a story for both of you! AggieMomma keep us updated I hope everything works out great! FeistyKoala that is an amazing story!
