Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Waiting is the hardest part...*DD picture inside*

Hi everyone,

Monday night I was having some spotting and cramping. It was never enough blood to get on my underwear but it was red so I was concerned. Tuesday there was some more spotting and cramping so I called the doctor. He had me come in to get my blood drawn and tested. At 6 weeks along I really thought things would be ok, that it was just one of those things that happen. Unfortunately he called me back and told me that my progesterone level was only at a 3 and my HCG level was 750. He said I would miscarry. Now the spotting and cramping has stopped and I really wish it would just get over with. The lack of both is giving me a hope that I know is unrealistic. I am thinking about calling the doctor and asking if he can give me something to speed the process up. I just want to move on.

  • I'm sorry for your loss.  They should be able to prescribe something to make your uterus contract to help things move along.  I was going to go that route, but then I started spotting.  I spotted off and on for five days.  If your spotting has completely stopped they may be able to help you.  I'm sure every doc is different, but mine didn't want to intervene as long as my body was taking care of itself.

    T&P to you.

  • I am so sorry you are going through this.  As PP said, the doctor might be able to give you something to help you along.  Heating pads and pain medicine are a must.  Best of luck to you.  I hope this physical part is over for you soon.
