I've been lurking here awhile but never posted... I do participate in clicky polls though 
If it's a girl (which I think it is but we won't find out for 4 more weeks...and bc I think it is, I'm sure it'll be a boy! lol) our two favorite names are Harper Ann or Clara Ann. I love Clara, but I don't want her to become Clare. I know too many Clares and I love the classic, old timey feel of Clara.
WDYT? We have NO boy name ideas yet... DH really likes Zeke. I'm not a big fan. I personally like Damien but it reminds me of that creepy movie.

So so over Harper and it makes me think of a Harpy (not good).
On the names alone, I prefer Harper. I've always liked it. I've never liked Claire or Clara.
However, I'm pretty tired of the Harper-craze the Beckhams have induced, so really, it's a toss up for me.
I much prefer Zeke to Damien.
Clara for sure.
I don't like Zeke or Damien.
Agree 100%. I really like Clara.
What about Julian or Adrian for a boy? Or Liam, Eli, Gabe, Levi...

I had no clue the Beckhams named their child Harper.. I just always liked it since the name of the author from TO Kill A Mockingbird was Harper Lee... weird I guess. Clara is definitely my first choice, but we prob will keep Harper in the running.
Jack is my all time fav boy's name, but we have friends with little boys named Jack. I feel like I'd be copying or stealing if we used that- but I hate Zeke and like I said, Damien makes me think of that creepy movie.
I like Adrian a lot. Can't do L names bc our last name starts with L and we both aren't big fans of the double L situation.
I prefer Harper although it has gotten trendy.. Zeke is nms I like Damian spelled like this. I have an uncle and cousin with this name and they seem to like it-- I don't think they get a lot of movie references... How about Dermott, Declan, Brendan, Dillon, Eamon, Emmett
Clara is classic and beautiful. Cute for a girl, classy for a woman. I don't think it will ever go out of style.
Harper is trendy and I think it will sound really dated in 20 years.
Not a fan of Zeke as a stand-alone name. What about Ezekiel and using Zeke as a nn?

I don't think Clara will be come Clare necessarily. Clara is a million times better than Harper too

I LOVE Clara. Harper is trendy and nms (although there is a mom on here with a little Harper who is insanely adorable).
I totally agree that Damien is creepy. Don't do it.

Damien is a great name. Zeke might grow on me if I thought about it enough.
You could look at the SS name index for popular boys names around the same time that Clara was popular (I believe Clara peaked around 1890/1900). Some name suggestions though:
Theodore
Henry
John
All were popular at the same time as Clara.
