How to clean britax carseat (vomit)

So my DD just threw up more than I've ever seen her vomit before in the car....the majority is on the carseat (britax marathon).  How do i wash the cover and straps?

    I remember that REOM had to clean hers one time after Gina vomited everywhere. ?Maybe page her or see if she is on?

    I took mine completely off and hand washed it in the sink. DH had to help get the straps off. I didn't wash the straps. Edit-DH had to get the carseat off for me (not the straps) because I couldn't get the straps through the fabric. I think the straps stay on the seat.

    I take my cover off and wash it. The straps don't really come off, so you have to sort of spot clean them.

    I washed the cover on the gentle cycle and hung to dry.  I wiped the straps down with vinegar and water, but it does take a little while for the smell to dissipate.  You shouldn't soak the straps.  If they're really horrible you can order replacements.

    Can I wash the cover in the washing machine?  or do I have to hand wash it?

    I've taken the cover off of Evan's Boulevard a few times. ?The first time, I washed it as recommended, but it took forever to air dry. ?Since then, I've washed it on delicate cycle and then let it air dry. ?The spin cycle gets a lot of the water out, and it doesn't take too long to dry. ?It looks brand new. ?I've never figured out how to get the straps out to clean them, so I just scrub them with soap and water the best I can. ?Good luck. ?Evan went through a stage where he was frequently getting motion sickness, and that sucked.

    I also just wash mine on the delicate cycle and then air dry. Its fine.

    Kate vomitted all over her carseat about a month ago (Roundabout).  We took off the cover AND the straps and washed everything in the machine.  It worked fine even though the manual says you have to spot clean it.  Like you can really spot clean that much puke!  No thanks!

    Washed our cover in the machine on reg. cycle.  Did not put the cover in the dryer.

    I have machine washed and dried my Britax cover and the straps multiple times... it really isn't difficult to get it all off once you know how. The car seat still looks brand new.
