Halloween costumes?

DS will be a chicken, and I am trying to figure out how to make an egg costume for DD. What will your little one be? And, if they have siblings/friends for trick or treat, will they go together as a theme, like Mickey and Minnie?

DD is going to be snow white. She doesn't have siblings so no theme. My sister has dressed her kids up as a theme many times. Jockey and horse, princess leia and darth vader, wonder woman and spider man.

Nice! I like the costumes guys. Sometimes we do themes, like the girls did Disney Princesses one year, and witches another. The only costume I know for sure this year is S - she is going to use K's old children's place flower costume. L isn't dressing up, the girls change their minds every 5 minutes. I might just make them Frankenstein old costumes.

I am so jealous! I wanted to make Sydney a chicken, but I couldn't pull it off the way I wanted. Now, she will be a sea otter

As far as making your DD an egg... how about two large pieces of foam from Michaels, cut into ovals and hot glued together? You could make a "cracked" hat out of the same foam. Orange or yellow tights, and your done.

Please post pics of the chicken and egg - I love that whole idea!

Ellie is going to be Raggedy Ann, and I was hoping to find a cute Raggedy Andy costume for Noah but all I could find was a generic "rag doll" costume that didn't really look right. Then I was going to do a Pumpkin for Noah, but DH asked if he could be something "more manly" so now he is going to be Superman, lol!

DD will be Sleeping Beauty again (2nd time) and DS will likely be a monster/dinosaur if the hand-me-down costume fits. So they don't coordinate, just go with what I got!

DS is going to be Alvin. I'm making the costume. I figured since he won't be "trick or treating" I'll do something easy and cheap. No siblings to do a theme but I do wish my nephews were nearby (they're in NJ, I'm in VA) to be Simon and Theodore.

The main reason he is being a chicken is I found the costume at a rummage sale, so it was a no brainer. For the egg for DD, I am concerned about using anything stiff, as she is not walking right now. I'll keep everyone posted. Otherwise, the costume ideas sound great!

I brought a cute manly/lady bug costume. SO said it's for girls. Why did they have to name that bug a ladybug!? My MIL brought him a Tigger outfit so I have two choices. I prefer the manlybug outfit though.

We'll probably used the hand-me-down Monkey costume our neighbor gave us. I have to roll up the pantlegs, but it should keep him warm enough.

at 3 months I'm not sure what to dress him as? I've always hated Halloween - the first 2 kids would spend *weeks* picking out their costumes only to decide at the VERY last minute that they didn't want to be THAT!! So it's always been frustrating and I finally at some point stopped buying costumes out of utter frustration.

Now I don't want to let that affect LO but I'm still not in the spirit 100% - I need to work on that!
