Re: sleeping positions and leg aches
For the most part I sleep with a pillow between my legs and that helps. I sometimes give myself a couple of minutes break and lay partially on my back -- kind of lean over and put a pillow behind my back for support. That way I'm not completly flat on my back (cause that's not comfortable for me anymore, either) but the pressure is off my side for a moment.
Try a thicker pillow between your legs. I just got a Sealy 2 in 1 maternity pillow and it's a lot thicker than the regular pillow I was using before - at first it felt weird but when I woke up in the morning with no leg or hip aches I was thrilled. Having the upper part of the pillow under my belly also helps me sleep a bit turned on my tummy, not straight on my side, which helps too.
Also, it's ok to sleep on your back, especially if you prop something under one side so you're a little bit tilted. Both the OBs in my practice who I've asked about this have said don't worry about it until you're much bigger, and if there's a problem you'll wake up and change positions because you'll be really uncomfortable.
