Who has names already picked out and agreed upon?

We only have decided on MN's. If it is a girl we will use Lou, family name. If it is a boy we will use Winfred, which is a family name also. We haven't totally decided on FN's yet.

We had a shockingly easy time agreeing on names--I think we had it figured out before we even got married. For a boy, Brant Garland (Brant is after his dad, Garland after my grandfather) and for a girl, Eliza Jennifer (Eliza after my great grandmother and Jennifer after his sister). My dream would be twin girls, and the second would be Hazel Caroline (no family connections, just love both names).

I'm sure we'll share as soon as we're absolutely certain.

If it's a boy, it will be Max. Not quite sure on the middle name yet. If it's a girl, it will be Kate. Her middle name will either be Ann, Reese, or Elise.

I have to tell you...in this day and age...Mary actually is a really unique name. No one uses it anymore! My friend named her DD Mary and my first reaction was 'ugh...so boring and common!'.

Well, now her DD is in pre-school with 3 Ava's, 2 Madison's and an assortment of Chloe's, Kiara's, Teagan's etc and the name Mary actually stands alone! Anyway, just thought i'd share!

hahaha it isn't very common now, I think it just sounds so old to me. I told my husband that I would happily use Marie as a middle name, so sort of meeting in the middle? Stick out tongue

DH also LOVES the name Mary. I think it's a great classical name, but like you, a little to boring for me. Now, I do not want U-neek or out there names, I love classic names, but I do want something with a bit more substance. I told DH that I would use the name Meredith with Mary as a NN. He seems to like that.

Yes.. I have had the name for over 20 years and he agreed! LOL. Same name for boy or a girl. We are still working on a middle name. :0)

I had DS name picked out since I was a child too.. it totally suits him! It is getting more popular now and that makes me sad.. oh well.

We like Cara Aileen for a girl. I like Owen for a boy, but SO says all he thinks of is Owen Wilson and that's a no. He likes Coen, which I think is okay but I'm not sold on.

ETA: We will be sharing the name with family as soon as we figure which we're using.

I see that too! I have a couple of friends whose middle names are Rose, so I think that's been a popular choice for a MN for quite a while. I want to use it because my grandmother's MN is Rosalee. Rosalee is too long for us to use, but Rose fits perfect and can still be in honor of her.

That is all I think about too. However we are set on Owen Michael as our boys name. Everytime we see OW on TV, we say "I hope our son doesnt do that.. It has gotten to be a joke now.

We havent really found a girls name yet. I like Ramona Ruth and Claudia Ruth. DH says no. I like Olivia but havent told DH yet- I like to not have it "ruled out" yet Stick out tongue

I dont know if I will tell names (although the whole family knows it will be Owen if a boy). My clients and friends, I might just make up names. Our last name is Labrie. So I am thinking of telling them Lee and Bree and then throw in some funny ones. Just to mess with people and see if they would tell me it was awful.

As far as the girl names--we've got quite a few contenders we need to narrow down. I get a little picky as I want a name that's can have a cute nickname when little, but is professional when she has to put together a resume. My husband is also picky because as an officer he sees some of the most ridiculous names out there and has bad affiliations with certain names.

Good thing we've got a little time to figure it out!

I don't think we will share with anyone.

Boys: Chase and Cole. I think Chase is the front runner right now.

Girls: Danica, Madeline, Valerie and I'm trying to get MH on board with Layla. His favorite right now is Madeline which I'm kinda over. I think my favorite is Danica.

I'm not one for throwing y's in for i's either lol. The Meredith idea is a good one, but my niece on my husbands side already has that name, and we do call her mary or mare.

We probably won't share with most people. We are team green and my goal is to have 2 girl first and middle names and 2 boy first and middle names picked and then see which fits the baby. We will probably tell our families our ideas but for others, if they ask, I will just say we have some ideas and do they have any suggestions? To many people don't like a name before but once it's attached to baby, less people will critize.

We are having a horrible time with boys names but our top choices are:
Luke James - James is my father and grandfather's name

Timothy John - John is my DH's middle name and his grandfather's name

For girls:

Zoey Elizabeth - Zoey is greek for Life

Alethea Sue/Susan - Pronounced "al-le-thea" Aletha is greek for Truth, We will call her Ali, My mom's middle name is Sue. DH's mom had a sister named Lily who died, sue/susan means lily.

Some other girls names being thrown around including Hannah and Mariah.

Nice! I think I could get him to come around, but I'd only try to if we can't find one we both like and we're desperately trying to up-sell each other on Owen or Coen.

We have ours picked out: Jude William for a boy and Elizabeth Faye for a girl. William is my dad's MN and Faye is my grandmother's MN. We won't share until we know it's a boy or a girl, but we probably will let people know after that.

My husband is a second, so if we have a boy, it will be James Randall III. We plan to call him Trace.

For a girl, I love Alexandria Brielle and Liliana Renae. However, if this is a girl, it has to have the middle name Hope because of my mom's premonition. I'm thinking either Addison Hope or Madelyn Hope.

We are also stumped for a boys name since we love our DS's name so much that nothing can compare. Nothing is good goes with Isaac. Trying to find something biblical (along the same as Isaac) but not and I name. Eli was a good name to match but SO's sister named her baby that in July 2011.

Girl: Maybe the same name we had picked out when DS was in belly, Zoey. Who knows.

We're going with names we had picked out with our first pregnancy.

girl: Caroline Amelia

boy: Ian Philip (possibly Ian Thomas- my dad's name is Thomas so we're kind of back and forthing about that one). We'd also considered Aaron- it was on our short list with DS- but are concerned people would start making Hank Aaron jokes with the boys' names.
